Granite - Granite worktops look magnificent in a kitchen as they are not only hardwearing, practical and hygienic but will remain highly resistant to heat and marking. Other materials can be used for kitchen worktops such as Jerusalem Stone and marble; however, these will require more maintenance care than granite.
